Join us for the 3rd Western North America FJR Owners meeting in quaint little
Moscow, Idaho
the last weekend of July, 2004. Moscow sits near the middle of the Idaho
panhandle, and is surrounded by
some of the best motorcycling roads in the West. It's a small, friendly
college town (The University of Idaho is here, Washington State University
is in neighboring Pullman, WA). Please fill in our
registration form, it's free!
The event is open to FJR1300 owners, FJR "waiters" and FJR fanciers. Canadians particularly welcomed! (Moscow is less than 200 miles from the border) A weekend of great riding, meeting old and new friends, eating, drinking and telling of tales...
The motel-of-choice for WFO-3 is the Best Western University Inn (call 800.325.8765 for reservations). Although there are camp sites near Moscow, there are no formal camping options arranged -- this is a motel-based rally.
As of 04-Jan-2005, there are 209 folks registered (plus some passengers). There's a list of who's signed up if you're interested. Here's where folks are coming from: AB (1), AZ (8), BC (6), CA (47), CO (5), GA (1), IA (1), ID (9), IL (4), IN (1), MA (1), MI (1), MN (9), MS (1), MT (2), NC (3), NJ (1), NV (2), OK (2), ON (1), OR (16), QC (1), SD (1), SK (2), TX (8), UT (2), WA (50), and WY (2).
Warchild created an online forum thread for folks to discuss group rides, getting to and from the event, etc. And of course there's an ongoing thread about this event at FJROwners.

There are truly excellent motorcycle roads leading to Moscow from almost all compass points:
This is a full-service motel offering 173 guest rooms and suites (all with microwaves and refrigerators), two restaurants, The Quiet Bar, Four Seasons Recreation Center with indoor pool, eleven meeting rooms, wireless Internet Service, and a business center. The motel is adjacent to the Palouse Mall/Theaters and the University of Idaho.
The nice people at the University Inn are going to block off an area of their parking lot and reserve it for motorcycles only. Furthermore, they're going to provide a "bike washing" area with a hose we can use.
If you're bringing a laptop, don't forget your 802.1b card, as this motel is WiFi ready -- you can use your laptop just about anywhere in the area (restaurants, the pool, etc.) and get connected to the 'net. They even have 3 wireless PCMCIA cards at the front desk that they loan out (for free) on an individual basis.

Note:
Call Matt at Palouse Country Sports (208.882.8318)
to reserve your service spot. The sooner the better. |
The tire prices include removing and reinstalling the wheel on your FJR. If you prefer another brand of tire, call Matt to make arrangements (the price will differ, of course). The oil change includes all labor, plus environmentally responsible disposal of your old oil. Prices shown above do not include Idaho state sales tax.
We tried to make this as simple for you as possible. Palouse Country Sports will have an EZ-up in the parking lot, and if you have reserved a slot, you can just wheel your bike over to them, had them the keys, and come back later to pick up your bike. Easy, huh?
